About me

An Urn for the Worse is my first novel. The first one I have finished, that is. I started one about thirty years ago but never finished it. I think we can all be glad about that. It wasn’t very good.

When I’m not writing I am immersed in music as a teacher, mediocre organist, conductor and listener, who occasionally dances when no one is watching. I love walking, my Royal Enfield Himalayan and nature. I am a passionate environmentalist. My greatest joy in life is my family, including my dog Reggie, a black Labrador. The dog in An Urn for the Worse is dedicated to the memory of another black Labrador, Bramble, who brought so much love and entertainment to us all.

I hope this book will be the first of many. I would love to hear your thoughts on it, and would be grateful if you would sign up to my mailing list for more details of my future writing. Please, please, please leave me a review on Amazon so that lots of people can see how much you liked the book (hopefully) and buy one themselves or for a friend, or an enemy if you didn’t like it – in which case, I apologise.

If you’ve read this far you probably realise there is a lot of other stuff I’m up to and you maybe interested, or you are bored and forgot to stop reading.
